We explain how the corrective invoice and the substitute corrective invoice work. In addition, we explain how the Anti-Fraud Law of 2021 affects these two processes for introducing changes to invoices.
Anti-fraud software will prevent you from tearing up or manipulating invoices.
The corrective invoice is the normal way of modifying an invoice.

Billing programs cannot allow changes to be made to an invoice already issued.
The 2021 anti-fraud law requires that computer programs that support the accounting, billing or management processes of those who carry out economic activities “guarantee the integrity, conservation, accessibility, legibility, traceability and inalterability of the records , without omissions or alterations that are not properly recorded in the systems.” And, although there has been an adaptation period , this type of software will be mandatory .

Therefore, billing and accounting programs must prevent the modification and destruction of their records. The goal is to prevent billing from being hidden .

In short, if you have issued an invoice, there must be a computerised record of it . You will have to use a special process in which both the invoice originally issued and the corrective invoice will be recorded .
