Titles for seniors went to KKV Wittenberg and SV Kleeblatt Berlin as well

The German Senior Men's and Women's Team Championships took place from June 16-18, 2017, in Freiburg's Heinz Rösch Sports Hall.

On Friday, KKV Wittenberg, led by individual best Hans-Georg Schaflik (594 pins), took the title in the Senior B category . Silver went to last year's third-place finisher KSKV Elbe-Elster, and bronze to the 2016 runner-up, KV Deggendorf. Defending champion SV Kleeblatt Berlin had to settle for fourth place.

On Saturday, SV Kleeblatt Berlin won the Senior A category in a thrilling final, beating photo editing services long-time leaders KKV Saalekreis, who were also nearly overtaken by KKV Anhalt-Bitterfeld. Defending champion Weiden finished tenth. Three players, Gerald Drescher (Mutterstadt, 630 pins), Andreas Kühn (Saalekreis, 628), and Michael Altmann (Munich, 616), scored over the "dream mark."

On Sunday, KV Hainstadt, with individual best Renate Sendlbeck (587 pins), took the title in the senior women's competition , ahead of KV Bamberg and KV Erlangen. Last year's champion, KKV Mansfeld-Südharz, did not compete.
