In the quest for competitive advantage, pioneering travel and destination industry providers are using virtual reality to create compelling sales tools that help increase sales and profits.

Companies like YouVisit are producing 360-degree, 3D views of real-world surroundings for a variety of travel destinations, cruises and hotels, helping those organizations sell themselves to potential travelers.

“ We are changing the way travel providers and agents use virtual reality ,” said Abi Mandelbaum , CEO and co-founder of YouVisit. His company has been developing VR experiences for ghana email list
more than six years, including work for Alaska, Croatia and Carnival Cruises. To create a VR film, cinematographers capture images from all angles. The footage is then digitally stitched together to create the final, “immersive” product.

“In a saturated travel market with conflicting advertising and marketing, using technology to capture a potential customer’s attention can be a huge differentiator in addition to helping close a sale ,” says Mandelbaum . Travelers tend to think that if a provider is on the cutting edge of technology, it will offer an innovative travel experience.

Ultimate Jet Vacations (UJV) – a boutique tour operator in Miami – is using virtual reality experiences produced by YouVisi t to grow its business and help hotels sell their properties, “ We find it to be a unique and fun way to promote our properties. Agents, young and old, have a blast with it and remember the experience ,” says managing partner Steven Kadoch.

For Ultimate Jet Vacations , YouVisit booked a camera crew to travel to one of its top suppliers, an exclusive resort on the French Riviera. Kadoch said he’s working on building a portfolio of virtual reality tours for his top-selling resorts. “So when we visit our travel agency partners, we take out a VR headset and ask them, ‘Have you been to Nizuc Resort & Spa yet? No? Here, put this on and take a tour! ’”
