What is Workplace Stress and how to manage it in the Company?

What is Work Stress?
Workplace stress is caused by the pressures that occur at work. For example, the stress caused by delivering reports to tight deadlines or difficulties in getting along with colleagues or managers. Although work-related stress is most prevalent in professions related to public administration, education and health services, employees in all areas of business can be subject to stress.

The main symptoms are extreme tiredness, lack of motivation and lack of personal fulfillment, but there are other signs that you should pay attention to:

Physical symptoms - Fatigue, headaches, intestinal problems, sleep disorders, nervousness, muscle tension;
Behavioral symptoms - Changes in appetite, procrastination, nervous ig phone number data (nail biting), increased consumption of alcohol, tobacco and drugs;
Emotional symptoms - frustration, agitation, low self-esteem, insecurity, difficulties in relationships or in relaxing;

How to Deal with Stress in the Company?

If your company's employees are displaying some of the symptoms we have already mentioned, they may be suffering from workplace stress. But don't think that the effects of workplace stress are only personal; if the employee is not feeling well, this will have unpleasant consequences for the organization. Increased conflicts between employees, a bad work environment and difficulty in solving problems are indicators of the effects of workplace stress on the organization.

It is possible to prevent workplace stress or minimize its effects, both on the employee and on the company. Some measures can be easily adopted in the organization to deal with the effects of stress:

Provide time management and organization tools to employees;
Motivate the division and delegation of tasks;
Create a relaxing work environment;
Promote team building activities to strengthen professional relationships;
Provide moments of relaxation and interaction between employees;
Provide services that promote well-being (access to a gym);
Create measures that promote family time (for example, being able to work from home or flexible working hours).
Remember that taking care of the emotional and physical well-being of your organization's employees significantly reduces workplace stress!
